Bio
Ralph Wickiser was a major figure in American art education whose roots are deeply associated with the rise of American Modernism. Wickiser created the graduate program at Pratt Institute and served as its Director from 1962 to 1978, while gaining renown for his ever-evolving style of symbolic art drawn from nature, at once expressive and intimate. Throughout his lifetime, Wickiser exhibited at prestigious museums, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY, and more.
