Art has an incredible ability to inspire in countless ways. That's why Galerie d'Orsay is proud to continue our lively partnership with the Country Garden Club of Weston, using art to inspire their lush floral creations — a collaboration that truly brings art to life!

This year marks our 3rd Annual "Bloom in Art" partnership with the Country Garden Club of Weston. This unique collaboration sees talented club members creating stunning floral arrangements inspired by artworks loaned from our stellar collection of Masterworks. The creativity at the reception, held at the Weston Library, was truly breathtaking! Galerie d'Orsay Co-Director Kristine Feeks Hammond presented each of the five loaned works, after which the Weston-based floral designers shared their creative process, revealing how our artwork sparked their impressive floral interpretations. These ladies truly blow us away with their ingenuity each year!
We were also honored to sponsor the Country Garden Club of Weston’s bouquet pedestal at the 49th annual "Art in Bloom" at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston! This prestigious event showcases the incredible talent of floral designers from around New England, and we were thrilled to play a part in highlighting their artistry.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to support the Country Garden Club of Weston in their endeavors, both locally and on the grand stage at Boston's MFA. It's a partnership that consistently reminds us of the endless beauty and inspiration that blossoms when art and nature intertwine.

Insight from the Floral Designers
"We were in awe of the magnificent texture, detail, proportions, and lifelike qualities of this exceptional marble sculpture, and of the talent and skill necessary to achieve this level of artistry.
We chose a white marble, low compote as the container to connect with the marble material used to create this classically inspired sculpture. The height restriction impacted our selection, as we wanted to keep the container low to let the flowers have an impact. The shape of the compote reflects the shape of the cupbearer’s cup Ganymede is holding, having received it from Hebe.
We incorporated flowers that symbolize classical elegance, youth, and beauty, using pink and white tones. Veronica, or hebe flower, is a symbol of youth and vitality, and is named for the goddess Hebe. Other flowers echo the shape of the pitcher as well as the textures in the robes. With such a powerful artwork, we focused on floral material that had strong, but graceful visual strength."
