Bio
As one of the finest American artists working in the abstract style today, Kathy Buist captures nature through layers of oil and mixed media on canvas. Her atmospheric effects often bring us tranquility in her ethereal skies and shores, pastures and horizons through her perceptive nuance of color, texture, and light. One of Galerie d’Orsay’s top living artists, Kathy's work is celebrated by collectors around the world. She’s won praise from The New York Times and is included in museums and galleries throughout the country, including the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, NY, the Long Island Art Museum & Andrews Museum in NC. She is registered at the National Women’s Museum in Washington, D.C., and has the distinct honor of being part of Who's Who in American Art.
