A true artist is not one who is inspired, but one who inspires others.”

Bio

The Spanish painter Salvador Dalí was one of the best-known surrealist artists (artists who seek to express the contents of the unconscious mind). Blessed with an enormous talent for drawing, he painted his dreams and bizarre moods in a precise way. Gifted from a young age, Dalí studied art in Madrid before developing his distinctive style, drawing inspiration from cubism, the metaphysical art of Giorgio de Chirico, and the Surrealist movement in Paris. He introduced the "Paranoic-Critical method," a technique of tapping into the subconscious to transform perception and meaning. Though later expelled from the Surrealists, Dalí continued to achieve great success across painting, film, and design. His wife Gala served as both muse and central influence, and his later works often explored religious and classical themes with the same precision that once captured his fantastical inner world.
