“I have always been a figurative and realist artist and becoming a Hyperrealist was the way my practice evolved.”

Bio

A Uruguay-born Hyperrealist painter, Elena Molinari studied fine art at the University of Montevideo before moving to Spain, where she taught at the University of Madrid. Known for her meticulous still lifes and reflective surfaces, Molinari creates heightened illusions of reality by emphasizing details beyond what the eye can naturally perceive. She carefully arranges her compositions, photographs them extensively, then translates the chosen image into layered oil paintings that capture rich textures and subtle reflections. Influenced by Old Masters like Pieter Claesz as well as contemporary themes, her work has been exhibited globally and is held in numerous private and museum collections.
